By installing, copying, or using LoonieLog (the "Add-on"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Add-on.
These Terms apply to the Google Workspace Marketplace listing, the Google Sheets template copy, and any other distribution of the LoonieLog codebase.
LoonieLog is a Google Apps Script add-on that automates the extraction and logging of Canadian business expense data from Gmail and Google Drive into a Google Sheet. It uses third-party AI APIs (Gemini or Claude) to extract structured data from receipts and applies heuristic rules based on CRA T2125 guidance.

LoonieLog is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of that license.
The LoonieLog name, logo, and associated branding are not covered by the MIT License and may not be used to imply endorsement without written permission.

LoonieLog applies heuristic rules based on publicly available CRA T2125 guidance. These rules are not guaranteed to be correct, complete, or applicable to your specific situation.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, and verifying all data before filing with CRA. Always consult a CPA or tax professional before filing your return.
LoonieLog calls Gemini API, Claude API, and the Bank of Canada Valet API using credentials you provide. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms:
Any costs incurred for AI API usage are your responsibility. LoonieLog does not charge for API usage — those costs are billed directly by Gemini or Anthropic to your account.
LoonieLog is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of LoonieLog shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 for free users).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the LoonieLog team from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the add-on, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Your use of LoonieLog is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue LoonieLog at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms — changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the add-on after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
